Hobbit Cosplay Dress (the back)

Just showing off my hard-earned grommets. Learning to put those in was the second hardest thing about creating this costume.

I just love all the earthy, natural colors and honest, sturdy fabrics of the hobbits' clothing, combined with that very feminine look of a dress and corset. I knew I wanted a corset and green ribbon for the lacing. The rest of the costume was built around those two things.

P.S.
The costume actually looks better on; the mannequin is inhumanly proportioned with miniscule hips and enormous bosom. The clothing is intentionally a bit bulky, giving me the proper hobbit-y, slightly thick shape. In other words, the costume is less sexy than it looks here.
